Gastritis


Gastritis is one of the common diseases and it’s defined as a functional disorder of the stomach characterized by different symptoms like pain, heartburn, indigestion and heartburn. Sometimes it may be acute or chronic.

In the first case they are older and manifest themselves through different phases, where the symptoms are apparent and, in acute, arises due to more recent intake of drug in the stomach, poisoning, poor nutrition and others.

Basically, Gastritis is an inflammation and irritation of the lining of the stomach, while Gastric ulcer is a sore on the lining of the stomach, duodenum, injury or Small intestine.

Symptoms of Gastritis

The main symptoms of gastritis are poor digestion, Upper abdominal pain, vomiting, headache, burning sensation, burning and Discomfort. While in case of ulcers, the patient feels pain in stomach.

Besides these other symptoms of Gastritis are Nausea, Belching, Acid reflux, Bloating, Loss of appetite, Bad breath, Feeling of fullness in upper abdomen, Passing of blood in stool, Passing black, tarry stool etc.

Causes of Gastritis

The main causes of Gastritis in general are alcohol, coffee, fried foods and spices. Besides that anxiety, nervousness and anxiety can also cause gastritis. Often it is also associated with nervous habits, bad eating habits or as a result of stress and also unbalanced lifestyle. Among other causes of gastritis include prolonged intake of non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, Chemotherapy, Endoscopies, Potassium supplements and iron tablets, Traumatic injuries, Severe burns, Critical illness, Surgery etc. It is also an important that heredity factor is also responsible to some extent where, people are more prone to this disease. Furthermore, the evolution or development of gastritis can cause stomach ulcers.

Treatment of Gastritis
